Samsung’s i-Phone Look-alike

Posted by admin in Gadgets on 06 14th, 2008

To give people a mobile phone that is an Apple look-alike – this is what I think Samsung wants to achieve for creating Instinct, a handset that is an iPhone look-alike. It is narrower and somewhat thicker than the presently existing iPhone. The Instinct has a slim body, spare black packaging, glass encased industrial design and a “fingertip-friendly” interface.

The easy to navigate Instinct also has a number of interesting features such as the resistive touch screen it possesses that allows you to choose whether you would use the enclosed stylus, which you could place in the cheesy plastic included in the package or your very own fingertip. It also has the first-rate voice command features that could launch applications or initiate calls or text messages to your contacts saved in your phonebook. The Instinct is GPRS enabled and browsing the web using it is made faster due to EvDO network support. Uploading directly to MySpace and Photobucket is also possible with Instinct.

On the downside, lacking with flash, the Instinct only has a low-resolution 2 Megapixel camera that can provide fair photos just in the presence of light and poor ones for low light conditions. Having said that, the style may not be a good selling point for the new Samsung Instinct.

Track Time and Weather with a Weather Watch

Posted by admin in Gadgets on 02 19th, 2008

In some places in the globe, the weather is quite unpredictable. Sometimes people expect rain the next day and bring their umbrellas but failed to use them because not a single raindrop fell from the sky. On the other hand, people who fail to bring their umbrellas during an unexpected rainy day are left with no choice but to bathe in the rain just to reach their destination.

Oregon’s Scientific Weather Watch

Want to track time and the weather anytime and anywhere you want to? Get your $80 ready and buy Oregon’s watch. The Oregon’s Scientific Weather Watch is a cool watch that lets you track the weather’s condition by measuring the barometric pressure of the environment. This gadget is already released in the US and the stocks never seemed to be enough to provide for every person who wants to get it. On the other hand, this weather station at your wrist is just about to be released in Europe this May.

This ultimate outdoor accessory displays an icon of sunny, partly cloudy, cloudy or rainy to describe the weather in the next 12 to 24 hours. It is also water-resistant up to 98 feet that allows you to wear it even while taking a bath.
