RFID to Dominate in the Future

If we would take a glimpse of the past, we can trace how a huge computer before was made even better and more functional and innovative at present. From the simple abacus to “super computers” now, there is Embedded Computer that can be made for a specific and complicated function despite its size. Also, functions of certain parts are merged and compacted into one unit such as Touch Screen and laptops which are widely used at present.

RFID technology is one of the most amazing innovations ever existed. Imagine people and even papers being tagged that eliminates the need of using other documents for medical, industrial and other fields. Even though the implementation of an RFID system is still yet to occur, several companies are already in search for RFID readers and Transponders they need. In the future, RFID is expected to dominate several industries because of its amazing functions.

Solar Energy Collector for Future Energy Production

Free electricity from the sun – this is what a lot of researchers aim to develop in order to address the growing problem with our energy resources. There are already several studies conducted regarding solar energy being used into different applications. Now, a brand new solar energy collector, invented by Doug Wood, an inventor based in Washington, is expected to revolutionize production of global energy.

This solar energy collector prototype is a 12-foot wide mirrored dish made of inexpensive and accessible materials such as lightweight and aluminum tubing and strips of mirror that is capable of concentrating sunlight by a factor of 1,000 in order to produce steam. According to Wood, this is actually the most efficient existing solar collector.

A company named RawSolar, started by Spencer Ahrens who tested the prototype recently, together with his teammates, is hopefully the one to be responsible with the mass production of the solar dishes. The dishes are said to be set up in huge arrays to provide steam for different applications such as industrial processing, heating or cooling of buildings and even hook up to steam turbines and generation of electricity.
